Fringe Review

For seven successful years of touring throughout Asia, Europe and Africa, director Hope Chiang has led this award-winning creative team featuring Chinese Ink artist Cindy Ng and artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing, Melbourne and Macao. Originally performed in 2008, Play Landscape investigates the relationship between urban living and nature in today's modern society with stunning ink water artistry, original music and physically intensive choreography. In this hectic and constantly changing world exploring the dreams, desires and the past, four individuals are more than a source of mutual comfort – they are interdependent on one another, living in complete symbiosis.
Award winning, highly recommended by theatre experts.
“The most interesting thing is the mixing of creativity language. The visual language, the body language, the music language, the sound, the silence, the form language that they do with the paper, everything are very good connected.”
João Branco, artistic director of Mindelact Internation
Theatre Festival in Cape Verde

“I still carry very vivid memories of your beautiful show, and think it is one of the highlights of my several visits to Guimarães...”
Sasha C. Damjanovski, scriptwriter, film and theatre director

“It was too beautiful over all images. Until the paper was tear off, it was so great at that moment. I love it so much.”
Miguel Pinheiro, theatre director
